Terms and Conditions - Main Points Summary

Main Points - Container Storage:


  • You own or are authorised to store the Goods.
  • Storage fees must be paid in advance and on time.
  • If You do not comply with the Conditions We have certain rights which include keeping Your Deposit and the right to seize the Goods in storage and sell or dispose of them.
  • You must secure the Unit.
  • You must not store dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods subject to Clause 18 of the Conditions.
  • You must check the Unit is suitable for storing the Goods.
  • Our liability for loss of and/or damage to Goods is limited to £100.
  • We are not liable to You for events outside Our control.
  • Goods are stored at Your sole risk and must be insured.
  • Batteries shall not be charged in the Unit and there are conditions applicable to the storage of batteries. See Clause 20 of the Conditions.
  • We may use and share Your personal and other data in certain circumstances including listing on Storer Check database.
  • Any special terms have been written down on this Agreement.
  • Should the statutory 14 day cooling off period apply to this Agreement, and You cancel during this period a refund will be provided based on the length of storage You have taken prior to cancelling.
  • You must give 28 days’ notice to terminate this Agreement.
  • You must arrange appropriate insurance for your vehicles when storing them within a unit.  Vehicles includes but is not limited to boats, cars, caravans, horseboxes, lorries, motorhomes, trailers, and vans.
  • Gas bottles or any form of fuel, including but not limited to diesel, fertiliser, oil, and petrol must not be stored in your unit.  See clause 18 of the Conditions.
  • You must not cook in your unit.
  • You must not sleep or stay overnight in your unit.
  • Photographs must not be taken within the facility or its surrounding areas.


Main Points - Vehicle Storage:


  • Stirling Storage Solutions Ltd holds no liability for the loss or damage to your vehicle(s), they are stored at your own risk.  Vehicle(s) include but are not limited to boats, buses, cars, caravans, horseboxes, lorries, motorhomes, trailers, and vans.  You must arrange appropriate insurance for your vehicle(s) when storing in the facility.
  • The notice period for terminating your storage contract is 28 days.
  • All gas bottles are to be switched off / removed when the vehicle is within the facility and no other noxious, hazardous or explosive substances or preparations are allowed on Site in compliance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 and any successor legislation.  In their normal state, devices or other products containing lithium-ion batteries, when used and maintained in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions, are not considered to present a noxious, hazardous or explosive risk.
  • Batteries must not be charged whilst in the facility.  They must be kept/stored in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
  • You must not sleep or stay overnight in the facility.
  • You must not cook in your vehicle(s) in the facility.  Vehicle(s) include but are not limited to boats, buses, cars, caravans, horseboxes, lorries, motorhomes, trailers, and vans.
  • No photographs are allowed to be taken within the facility or its surrounding areas.
  • Any maintenance/repairs or washing must be carried out in the designated area which is clear of other vehicle(s).  Vehicle(s) include but are not limited to boats, buses, cars, caravans, horseboxes, lorries, motorhomes, trailers, and vans.
  • Caravans must put down all corner steadies and apply the hand break whilst stored in the facility.
  • You must not store dangerous, illegal, stolen, perishable, environmentally harmful or explosive goods in your vehicle whist stored in the facility.  Including but not limited to diesel, fertiliser, oil, and petrol.
  • A vehicle tracking device with an active subscription is strongly recommended.
  • Alarm(s), hitchlock, immobiliser, and wheel clamps are strongly recommended.
  • Additional door and window locks are strongly recommended.
